Second Convention of European Armenians

The director of ANCA will focus on the American Congress

Brussels (BELGIUM) – The Second Convention of European Armenians that will take place on 15 and 16 of October 2007 at the European Parliament (Brussels) promises to a summit with significant impact on Armenian issues.

Thus, Mr Aram Hamparian, the national director of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) confirmed his participation to the Convention. He will introduce the upheavals that are occurring in the United States, and will focus on the Genocide recognition resolution that should be voted by the US Chamber of Representatives without further delays. He will also tackle the change of position of the Anti Defamation League. The ANCA is in the forefront of action in these two files.

The European Armenian Federation would like to remind everyone that the registration is free and in necessary for participation, and calls on everyone interested to immediately register here

Since the launch of the registration, dozens of representatives from Armenian organizations, scholars and also Members of the European Parliament have already confirmed their participation.

Several Armenian political and ecclesiastical high authorities will attend the Convention, such as Mr. Vartan Oskanian, the Armenian Minister for Foreign Affairs, His Holiness Zakarian and His Holiness Herkelian, the respective representatives of the Catholicossate of Echmiadzine and Antelias.
